Graffiti removal needs more than simply turning up the pressure. Brickwork, painted surfaces, render and other materials can react differently, and the wrong approach can leave shadowing, alter the finish or damage the substrate.

We assess the surface, the extent of the markings and the surrounding area before choosing a suitable cleaning approach. A small test area may be appropriate on sensitive or uncertain surfaces, and the achievable finish depends on the material and how deeply the marking has penetrated.

Photographs should show the complete affected wall as well as close views of the markings and surface. Tell us if the wall has been painted, coated or previously treated.

Access, run-off, nearby pedestrians and the location of doors, windows and planting also affect the method and work area.

How graffiti removal is assessed.

Can all graffiti be removed completely?

The achievable finish depends on the paint or marking, how long it has been present, the porosity and condition of the surface, and any previous coatings or treatments. Some shadowing can remain on absorbent or weathered materials.

Can graffiti be pressure washed from every wall?

No. Some brickwork, render, painted surfaces, joints and coatings can be damaged by unsuitable pressure. We assess the substrate first and may recommend a test area or a different cleaning approach.

What should I send for a quotation?

Send the site postcode, a wide photograph of the affected elevation and close photographs showing the graffiti and surface. Tell us if the area is painted, coated, difficult to access or beside a busy public route.
